Event History

The PGA's Triumphant Return to Wisconsin

The American Family Insurance Championship will be the first PGA Tour event in the state since 2009, when the Greater Milwaukee Open ended its 42-year run. American Family is honored to play a role in Wisconsin's golf legacy and join hometown hero Steve Stricker in welcoming back Champions Tour competitors.

Why we play the game

The Real Winners of the Championship

The American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison is a world-class pediatric hospital created with strong financial support—more than $15 million—from American Family, its employees and agents. Featuring a pediatric intensive care unit, a transplant surgery program and a children’s cancer center, the hospital has treated thousands of ill or injured children from 49 states since opening in 2007. The American Family Insurance Championship is proud to support the hospital and other local organizations through the Steve Stricker American Family Foundation.
